Contemporary Family Living in Northcote - A Study in Timeless Interiors
Elm Grove was conceived as a weekend house with a slower, more informal feel. The existing interiors had strong proportions but lacked warmth, so the redesign focused primarily on materiality and atmosphere rather than major structural changes. Textured plaster, aged timber and natural stone create the base palette, while upholstered furniture and patterned textiles soften the harder surfaces. Lighting was kept warm and low, with smaller lamps and wall lights used in place of overly bright ceiling fixtures.
The result is comfortable, tactile and slightly eclectic without feeling busy.

A Textural Weekend Retreat in Marcoola
Set among the coastline of Marcoola, this weekend retreat was designed as a quiet escape from city life. The interiors combine natural stone, aged timber, textured plaster and soft linen to create a warm, grounded feel throughout.
Rather than relying on bold colour, the palette is built around subtle tonal variation and tactile materials. Vintage furniture, handmade ceramics and layered textiles bring character to each room, while warm lighting keeps the spaces feeling relaxed and intimate.
